Sunny Hostin's Take on Joe Rogan's Trump and ICE Critique
Sunny Hostin has a strong opinion about Joe Rogan's recent comments. Rogan, known for his podcast, recently criticized the actions of ICE and Donald Trump's administration, calling it akin to the 'gestapo.' While some on The View's cohosting panel praised Rogan's change of heart, Hostin had a different perspective.
"Joe Rogan got the country he voted for," Hostin stated. "With 20 million followers and immense influence, he endorsed Donald Trump. That comes with a lot of responsibility. I believe he misused his platform." She emphasized the impact of his actions, given his large following and influence.
When Joy Behar countered that she appreciated Rogan's criticism of Trump and ICE, Hostin disagreed. "He hasn't truly changed his tune," she said. "During the same podcast, he mentioned a conspiracy theory, which is not true." Hostin challenged the idea that Rogan's words were a complete shift in perspective.
Behar then brought up the comparison to former Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene, but Hostin saw it differently. "She's the same person," Hostin agreed, but with a different take. "This election was crucial. We warned about Project 2025. Trump admitted he'd be a dictator." Hostin emphasized the gravity of the situation, contrasting it with President Obama's actions.
Hostin also criticized Trump's reaction to being called a 'pedophile protector,' saying, 'Imagine if President Obama did that! It's the least presidential behavior I've seen in my lifetime.' She highlighted the contrast between the two presidents' conduct.
