In a stunning display of partnership and performance, Grove Racing has revealed an eye-catching livery to celebrate a century of Penrite Oil. This bold move sets the stage for an exciting Supercars season, with drivers Matt Payne and Kai Allen leading the charge, joined by Will Davison and Tim Slade for the Enduro Cup.
But here's where it gets controversial... Grove Racing's team owner, Stephen Grove, sees this as more than just a fresh coat of paint. It's a reflection of the team's core values and a commitment to excellence.
"An Australian business, still family-owned and operated, Penrite's remarkable history is something we honor," Stephen said.
And this is the part most people miss... The livery's design isn't just about aesthetics. It symbolizes the strength of Grove Racing's partnerships and their dedication to presenting and performing at the pinnacle of their sport.
The numbers #19 and #26, a nod to the year Penrite was established, will continue to grace Grove's cars, a constant reminder of the journey and legacy they carry forward.
Penrite Oil CEO Toby Dymond sees this as just the beginning of a year-long celebration of their golden era.
"Reaching our 100th year is a proud moment, and the gold livery is a fitting tribute," Toby explained. "We'll be honoring our history while looking to the future with a range of special moments and activations. Motorsport is an integral part of our story, and we're excited for the season ahead."
The black and gold livery harkens back to the iconic JPS colors of the '70s and '80s, a design that Penrite-backed Erebus paid homage to in 2019.
Meanwhile, Grove Racing is gearing up for the Bathurst 12 Hour next weekend, fielding a Mercedes-AMG GT3 for Allen, Davison, and Brenton Grove.
