The Philadelphia Eagles are already looking ahead to the 2026 season, and they're making some strategic moves to build their team! It's never too early to start planning for the future, and the Eagles are doing just that by signing several players to 'future contracts.' This means these players will officially join the team for the upcoming seasons. So far, the Eagles have locked in 12 players, with the latest additions adding some intriguing depth.
The newest Eagles to sign future contracts are:
- S Andre’ Sam: He's already had a taste of the Eagles, getting some game-day action over the past two seasons. With the safety position potentially facing some changes, Sam could be a key player.
- TE E.J. Jenkins: Jenkins has also seen some action, stepping up when the tight end group faced injuries. The tight end position is also in a state of flux, making Jenkins's signing even more important.
- OT John Ojukwu: Ojukwu brings experience from the Titans, having played in 16 games over the past three seasons. With the offensive line always a priority, he could be a valuable addition.
The other players who have signed to future contracts include:
- FB Carson Steele
- LB Chance Campbell
- DB Tariq Castro-Fields
- WR Danny Gray
- DT Gabe Hall
- DB Brandon Johnson
- C Jake Majors
- OT Hollin Pierce
- WR Quez Watkins
But here's where it gets interesting... Not everyone on the practice squad has been signed yet. The following players ended the season on Philly’s practice squad but have still NOT been signed:
- DT Ta’Quon Graham
- LS Charley Hughlett
- EDGE Patrick Johnson
- WR Terrace Marshall
- QB Kyle McCord
- DB Parry Nickerson
What do you think about these moves? Do you agree with the Eagles' strategy of building for the future, or would you have prioritized other positions? Let me know your thoughts in the comments!
